Energy Mas Band presents Soca in the Mas

SEVEN SECTIONS, all representing noted Vincentian Soca songs over the years, is Energy Mas Band’s presentation for Vincymas 2025.

The seven sections, designed by young and upcoming designer, Jadiel Foster are: Turn Me On, Rumist, Sexy Girl, Carnival Jumbie, Loving Can’t Done,Teaser and I Am Soca.

Having made guest appearances in 2023 and 2024, this year will for the first that the band will be in actual competition.

It’s a new frontier and expectation of band leader, Norman Quashie, who has been around the mas circuit for over three decades.

“I am really looking forward to competition. It is our first year of judging, and patrons can be assured of a quality presentation; a presentation that we can all relate to, as the songs are all popular.”

Quashie said affordability of the costumes also adds to the attraction of the band to masqueraders.

The Energy Mas band will host its launch this Saturday, May 3, 2025,from 4:00 p.m, at the Sion Hill Intersection.

The band will be based at the building obliquely opposite Randy’s Mini Mart on Tyrell Street.

Vincymas 2025, is slated to run from June 27 to July 9.
