Ambassador Bowman appointed advisor to HHWAI
AN ORGANIZATION in the Republic of China (Taiwan), which seeks to enrich students’ lives, has lauded the contribution of St Vincent and the Grenadines’ Ambassador to Taiwan Andrea Bowman, who has been appointed advisor to the group.
“We, the Happy Home World Alliance International (HHWAI), are very blessed to have Ambassador Bowman to be our advisor,” the organization said in a release, adding that Bowman has been going to campuses across the country to promote the five actions/values of the group.
HHWAI hopes to help students manage their relationships, enrich their lives and improve their academic performances with HHWAI’s principles of T.A.B.L.E – Talking, Affirming, Blessing, Listening and Enjoying.
“During each of Ambassador Bowman’s speeches on campuses, she also invited students to register to attend the 60-country forum which is sponsored by HHWAI, and has received an endorsement from your Prime Minister, Dr Ralph Gonsalves and other international NGOs. The goal for the 60-country forum is for young leaders to work together to create a world where people live together in harmony and peace and with dignity and equality,” a release from HHWAI said.
On December 30, 2020, Ambassador Bowman was invited to speak at the Army Academy of the Republic of China and her speech received a very positive and warm response, said Brandon K. C. Chang, Secretary General of HHWAI.
“Through the ambassador’s speech, we can have a deeper understanding of what makes leaders good leaders! This helps us develop the qualities
of modern- day leaders in the army. The role of a leader is not inherently possessed. Most people think that it not only takes courage, but a great deal of learning and training to master the basics beginning in family education and school education. I’m most grateful to Ms Andrea Bowman for coming to the Army Academy to pass on wisdom to the younger generation!,” a student at the Academy said.
One teacher at the academy said the faculty and students “genuinely benefited a great deal from the T.A.B.L.E. concept… and [they] will keep promoting and implementing the shared values of harmonious family, balanced society and world peace, which are also the fundamental basis of the future leaders.”
Another teacher said: “ I was deeply inspired by the idea that a leader should not only be a good listener, but also embrace the differences of others through empathy and acceptance, thus being able to bless the relationship and strengthen the bond of people in various organizations. As an experienced college instructor and diligent lecturer, this speech shed light on me that a successful teacher ought to be an active listener and a heartening mentor of the young generation.”
