Clarice Williams Foundation donates stationery to about 50 students

The Clarice Williams Foundation continues to contribute to education in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

On Wednesday September 2, head of the foundation, Shena Crystal Williams of the Shena Williams Law Chambers, made a donation to about 50 students of the Dubois Government School/Buccament Primary School.

The yearly donation, the third of its kind, saw students receiving stationery which included exercise books, notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, crayons and loose leaves.

“I just wanted to assist because I know some parents sometimes find it hard with children going back to school,” Williams told SEARCHLIGHT.

In the past, donations have been made to students from in and around Kingstown and students in Vermont.

Williams said the foundation is a charitable entity aimed at helping with the education of the less fortunate children in society.

The Clarice Williams Foundation was set up in honour of businesswoman Merle Williams (Shena’s mom) who passed away on November 27, 2016.
