Wesleyan Holiness Church appoints new district Superintendent

On Sunday, January 20, 2019, the St Vincent and the Grenadines District of the Wesleyan Holiness Churches installed a new district Superintendent in Rev. Shakika Fraser at its first quarterly convention for the Church year 2018-2019.

Also installed were Assistant District Superintendent Rev. Edgar Toussaint, other administrative board members: Rev. Wilmoth Harper, Rev. Joseph Brackin, Rev. Joseph Hazlewood, Min. Ricardo Watson, Min. Tonya Scott, Sis. Jackie Ackie, Sis Carmalie Nicholls, and other officers chosen to serve in this Church year.

Among those in attendance were Rev. Haynesly Griffith (General Superintendent’s representative), Rev. Cenus Hinds (outgoing District Superintendent and Rev. Cordelia Gibson (District Superintendent Emeritus).

The installation was preceded by five nights of Special services held at the Campden Park Wesleyan Holiness Church and the annual District Convention. The Church is currently operating under the theme “Expanding our witness, engaging our world, through the power of the Holy Spirit”.

The Wesleyan Holiness Church has been present here in SVG for more than 60 years, ministering to society and the entire person with the message of Holiness.
