13x Excellent for Massy United Insurance

A.M. Best, one of the world’s premier insurance rating agencies, has re-affirmed the financial strength and stability of Massy United Insurance (MUI) for the 13th consecutive year. This rating of A- (Excellent) with a stable outlook is indicative of the regional insurance company’s consistently strong balance sheet, as well as its “appropriate enterprise risk management”, according to A.M. Best Rating Services Inc.

What this means for customers, according to CEO Randy Graham, is that they can rest assured that Massy United Insurance will continue to provide them with superior customer service, quick and fair claims settlements and comprehensive insurance solutions. “We are of course pleased to receive an A- (Excellent) rating for yet another year, however we are not surprised,” stated Graham. “Massy United Insurance has always sought to provide our clients with the peace of mind that insurance ought to provide. This rating demonstrates that we have the ability to support our clients before, during and after a disaster.”

This recent A- (Excellent) rating comes even in light of the financial loss that the insurance company suffered over the year ending September 2017. The loss was primarily due to the devastating hurricane season last year, which resulted in the insurer receiving claims in the amount of USD$262 million from across the region. “The hurricane season affected us all, but our priority, as always, was ensuring that we settled claims quickly and fairly, so our customers could begin to rebuild their lives,” commented Graham.

“Our experience, expertise and range of innovative insurance solutions enable us to be a reliable partner to our clients, particularly during a catastrophe,” continued Graham. “We’ve secured our reinsurance support and are ready to assist our MUI family, through the 2018 hurricane season and beyond.”
