Keneshia Llewellyn crowned Miss P’tani 2018
Keneshia Llewellyn, the 18-year-old winner of Miss P’tani 2018 has her eyes set on the Miss St Vincent and the Grenadines/Miss SVG pageant.
Llewellyn, sponsored by Island Shak Entertainment, was crowned Miss P’tani last weekend at the La Croix Boxing Plant during the P’tani Carnival Committee event which began on Friday, June 15 and ended on Saturday, June 16.
“To be honest, it was something I was always confident about, so I wasn’t too shocked when I heard I won, but I worked for it and I achieved,” Llewellyn said after taking the crown.
She added, “When I began, I saw everybody as competition and I did not underestimate anyone.”
She also won the evening wear category in a Lisa Cordice gown and was judged to have answered her questions the best in the interview segment.
The former student of the Girls’ High School (GHS) said this is her second crown as she won the GHS Miss Heritage pageant in 2014. She hopes that sometime in the future she can take part in the Miss SVG pageant.
“Ever since I was small I have a love for pageants and I see these smaller pageants as a stepping stone to Miss SVG,” Llewelyn said, while adding that her main motivation for entering the Miss SVG pageant is the university scholarship.
The Sion Hill resident said she is thankful to all her supporters who spurred her on during the competition. She specifically thanked her sister Kimeishia, mother Patalyn, father Leroy and chaperon Shadeisha George.
