Music and hard work pay off for Oneil

For Oneil Omar Sprott, achieving success is all about hard work and asking God for guidance.

The Kingstown Preparatory School student placed second among boys and third overall in this year’s Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA) examinations with an overall average of 94 per cent.

“It makes me feel very happy because I did really well. I want to thank my parents and my teachers and my family. And I would like to thank God most of all for giving me strength and guidance and helping me to remember all my work,” he said.

Although he didn’t give up playing the piano to study for exams, Sprott said that he studied and worked very hard.

Sprott’s mother, Tamara Job-Sprott, said she knew her son would do well because he followed her advice to work hard.

And she is both proud and happy with Oneil’s performance.

Krista Alana Williams of the Troumaca Government School and Azaria Kylie Commissiong of the Windsor Primary School also tied with Sprott for the third position in this year’s CPEA.
