St Vincent Brewery Limited enters J’Ouvert mix for 2018
A new face will be added to the Vincy Mas JâOuvert mix this year.
This, as the St Vincent Brewery Limited announced last week that they will, for the first time, put a JâOuvert band on the road for Vincy Mas 2018.
Speaking at the conference room of the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) at Victoria Park on March 6, Sales and Marketing manager at the St Vincent Brewery Limited Lamont Medica said they have decided this year to help inject some life into JâOuvert.
He said that the partnership between the CDC and the Brewery is mutually beneficial and the Brewery has noticed a fall off in the attendance at JâOuvert, âso we saw this and saw it as an opportunity that we could inject into Carnival and help to revive that particular element.â
Chief executive officer (CEO) of the CDC Ashford Wood expressed his pleasure at the Breweryâs decision to join this cultural event.
âThe St Vincent Brewery has been a partner with us for very long. We thank the Brewery for coming on board this year in the capacity of a band on the road for JâOuvert, because we would have seen the fall off for JâOuvert and as a matter of fact, the CDC has started to think about looking for partners to hit the road for JâOuvert; so, when you decided to come on board, we know that JâOuvert is being taken care of once again,â said Wood.
The St Vincent Brewery Limited also signed a one-year sponsorship contract with the CDC in relation to the sponsorship of Vincy Mas 2018.
