Rose Place first ever fish fest hailed a success

The first ever Rose Place fish festival has been described as a success by the event’s promoter Cecil Iroha of Envy Entertainment.

The event was held on Saturday, March 3 and succeeded in promoting the vibrant fishing culture of the community, while providing an opportunity for businesses in and around the community to showcase and sell their products and services.

“Envy Entertainment, on behalf of the residents and businesses of Rose Place would like to thank the general public for coming out and supporting the first ever Rose Place fish festival and making it a sold-out event,” Iroha said on Wednesday.

He noted that the event was made possible by Mark Dennie, Jerrol Stapleton of Gloja’s Trading, Chief Seasoning, the St Vincent Brewery Ltd, Digicel, Randy’s Supermarket, Magikleen, Right Stuff, the National Sports Council, Pest Llewellyn and SEARCHLIGHT.

The event saw live entertainment and small goal soccer, among other activities.

The next fish festival is scheduled for Saturday, April 7.
