Hundreds of Vincentians are expected to gather at Argyle tomorrow for a rally that will be held to celebrate the first anniversary of the Argyle International Airport (AIA).
The AIA turned one year old on February 14, Valentineâs Day.
Tomorrowâs rally is expected to begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at Johnson Hill, along the old Argyle main road.
Speakers will include Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves, Director of Airport Corsel Robertson, Minister of Tourism Cecil McKie, Minister of Agriculture Saboto Caesar, Minister of Finance Camillo Gonsalves and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sir Louis Straker.
Speaking on Wednesday during a ceremony at the AIA, the Prime Minister said the rally is expected to be a âa big event,â celebrating and remembering the AIAâs opening and the struggles which the Government faced in building and operating the airport.
He said an update on where the AIA is today and other issues will be shared with the public.
