Man found dead with gunshot, stab wounds

A man who was warned that his life was in danger and who had commented “nobody can kill me,” was found dead in a vehicle over the weekend.

South Rivers resident Conliffe Williams’ body was discovered in Upper Richmond Hill around 10:10 p.m. last Friday, September 1, in a car, PR613.

A police source said it appears that Williams, who was also wanted by Biabou police for questioning in relation to a criminal matter, was shot, beaten and stabbed and driven to the area where he was found dead.

An autopsy is expected to be carried out to determine what caused the death of Williams, the 23rd person murdered here in 2017.

Reports also state that Williams was a good friend of Godwin “Scorcher” Sam, whose partially decomposed remains were found in Yambou on July 9. Sam’s autopsy was inconclusive, but police are treating his death as a murder.
