SVG Wesleyan Holiness Churches hold appreciation service for Rev Gibson

On Sunday, May 7, 2017, the St Vincent and the Grenadines district of Wesleyan Holiness Churches held an appreciation service for the Reverend Cordelia Gibson.

Rev Gibson has been serving as a pastor for more than 20 years. She has pastored in Buccament Bay, Clare Valley and Campden Park and served as assistant District Superintendent of the Wesleyan Churches here from 2004-2006. In 2007, she became the first female District Superintendent in SVG and the Caribbean.

In January, 2017, she stepped down from this capacity and in doing so was conferred the honoured title of District Superintendent Emeritus, again a first for the St Vincent and the Grenadines district or any other in the Caribbean.

The service was attended by both local and regional guests, who expressed appreciation and offered commendations and words of blessing to her, all acknowledging the tremendous work she has done.

Rev. Gibson continues to pastor the Campden Park Wesleyan Holiness Church. In January, Rev Cenus Hinds began his tenure as District Superintendent of the Wesleyan Holiness Churches in St Vincent and the Grenadines, with Rev Shakika Fraser as his assistant.
