SVG Gospel Festival climaxes this weekend

The 2017 Digicel SVG Gospel Festival will officially climax this weekend with two programmes – tonight, Friday, April 28 and Sunday, April 30.

Tonight, the Gospel Fest Committee will stage a special song night entitled: “Sing A New Song” at the Hope For Life Restoration Ministries in Arnos Vale, in which artistes are being encouraged to sing an original song and win prizes, also with a possible opportunity of having their song recorded. The programme begins at 7 p.m.

On Sunday, at the Victoria Park, the National Gospel Showcase will take place from 6 p.m. Then, there will be performances in song, dance and drama from some of the most outstanding artistes coming out of the zonal showcases held last weekend. Scheduled to appear will be: Dynamic Dancers from North Leeward, Warriors for Christ from Marriaqua, HHC Juniors from South Leeward, Kereitha ‘Laylee’ Doyle from Kingstown, Enoch Ragguette from Bequia and others.

Special guests for that evening include Pearl Mc Master and Ronnie Richardson, who will be travelling to Canada in May to take part in a series of gospel concerts. The Caribbean’s hottest gospel artistes Neesha Woodz of Barbados and D’Furnace of Trinidad are the featured artistes. Evangelist Zonel Wilkinson of the Church of God of Prophecy will deliver the Word.

The 2017 SVG Gospel Festival is being celebrated under the theme: “15 Years of the Glorious Celebration of the Gospel”.
