Guinness Black Ball Pool grand finale shoots off Friday, April 7

The Guinness Black Ball Pool Competition grand finale, which takes place on Friday, April 7 at Marty’s Sport Bar, will see eight veteran pool players competing for bragging rights and EC$5,000.

The competition, the brainchild of the St Vincent Brewery Limited, went through eight gruelling weeks of qualifications and hundreds of games

between hundreds of players from throughout the entire mainland and the Grenadines.

The eight finalists and the venues at which they qualified are Terry Phillips (West Side Bar), Recardo Greaves (Auntie Merlene’s Bar), Ozzie St Hillaire (Nani Bellingy’s Bar), Alston Barker (Police Canteen Kingstown), Camillus Pitt (South Beach Bar), Lloyd Thomas (Skyline Bar Bequia). Jahnyiah Gumbs (Over the River Grocery) and Tex Franklyn (Azard St Hill Bar).

The tournament supervisor is trade marketer at the Brewery Cleve “Skip” McKenzie.
