Several charter flights expected for Carnival – PM

Persons wishing to travel to St Vincent and the Grenadines from outside the region for the Carnival season should expect to have their pick of several direct charter flights to Argyle International Airport (AIA).

So said Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves, during a press conference on Monday.

Gonsalves also disclosed that there should be regular international flights to the AIA in time for the next tourist season, which begins in November.

He stated that he is hopeful that within the next week or two there should be something firm in relation to charter flights for Vincy Mas.

The Prime Minister explained that the flights needs to pinned down fairly soon, so that persons who wish to return home for Carnival could book them early.

He also added that persons would have to give their employers early notice that they would be taking time off work. (CM)
