Joint efforts being made to raise World Kindney Day awareness
Health Solutions Inc. has joined forces with the Mustique Charitable Trust, Retired Nurses Association SVG and Kidney Society of St Vincent and the Grenadines Inc. to celebrate World Kidney Day on March 9, 2017.
On Thursday, March 9 from 10 a.m., the general public will find booths set up at the open parking lot next to the General Post Office in Kingstown for brochure distribution, blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks and more.
âOur hope is to bring awareness to the importance of our kidneys, how to reduce the risks of Kidney Disease and focus on healthier lifestyles,â a release from Health Solutions said.
World Kidney Day being recognized around the globe to bring focus and overall awareness to Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). The theme this year is âKidney Disease and Obesityâ.
