PCCU recognizes chair of retrofitting committee

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Cooperative Credit Union (PCCU) on Saturday awarded Horace Williams for his dedication towards the retrofitting of the credit union’s new building.

Williams was the chairperson of a five-member committee formed to oversee the retrofitting works on the building.

To recognize his commitment, the PCCU board of directors, management and staff presented Williams with a plaque during the ribbon cutting ceremony.

In his remarks, master of ceremonies Johnathan Nicholls said that Williams had worked tirelessly to ensure that the building was ready on time. Apart from being on the job site every day since work commenced, the chair went above and beyond his duty and transported almost all of the materials used free of cost.

According to Nicholls, Williams used his personal vehicle to transport the materials and while transporting a load of sand, the axle of his vehicle broke. The credit union offered to pay for the repairs, but Williams refused, stating that it was done in the name of the PCCU.(AS)
