The Becket Benefit Organization will be celebrating its second anniversary with a week of activities. As part of this celebration, the organization will host two free public events.

On Tuesday, February 7, a lecture on cancer will be given by health educator Harvey Farrell at the Layou Roman Catholic Centre, at 7 p.m.

An evening of Sports and Games will be held at the Layou hard court, on Friday, February 10, at 7 p.m.

A release from the organization said there will be several games to participate in, including soft-ball cricket, netball, volley-ball, dominoes, cards and checkers.

Residents of Layou and the surrounding areas are invited to attend these two events, especially the lecture on cancer, which would be divided into two segments. The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions and make comments.
