AIA official opening to be televised live

The official opening of the Argyle International Airport on February 14 and the military parade and flag raising ceremony the day before will both be televised live on television.

A release from the Agency for Public Information (API) said they, in collaboration with SVG TV and VC 3, will bring live television coverage of the events locally. The events will also be broadcast to regional and international audiences via Tempo Cable Television Network.

The coverage will include a live panel with guest moderators, interviews, vox populi, as well as coverage of the arrival/departure of flights on February 14, the release said.

As part of the media and promotional campaign leading up to the opening of the Argyle International Airport on February 14, the API, in collaboration with the Office of the Prime Minister and Tempo Cable Television Network, has teamed up to produce a series of programmes, entitled “The Realization of a Dream, the coming on stream of the Argyle International Airport.”

The first programme, which featured Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves on the realization of his dream to build an international airport in SVG, was televised on Tempo and local television stations, beginning Tuesday, January 31.

The events of February 13 and 14 at the Argyle International Airport will be televised live locally on channel 116, SVG TV and VC3 and to regional audiences via Tempo. In addition, persons can watch via live stream on the Agency for Public Information SVG Facebook page.
