Sion Hill Euphonium to give Christmas night thanks

In a show of appreciation for the support of the community and wider St Vincent and the Grenadines, the Sion Hill Euphonium Steel Orchestra, will this Sunday, Christmas night, host its annual “give back” at the Sion Hill Intersection.

Sunday night’s showcase is a return of the open air concert which started six years ago, but did not take place last year, because of some unforeseen circumstances.{{more}}

Back in full force, chair of the Sion Hill Euphonium organization Warren Knights reiterated the need for the band “to say thanks to the community for its unwavering support.”

The much anticipated event gets going at 7 p.m., and Knights promises that the band will give a full repertoire of renditions in tune with the Christmas season.

He noted that the occasion will be used to showcase some of the junior band members who will be given an opportunity to play outdoors, other than at the Junior Panorama.

The Sion Hill Euphonium is the reigning Senior Panorama champions, having captured the title for the seventh time in eight years, during this year’s Vincy Mas celebrations.(RT)
