Every effort being made to pay Buccament Bay Resort workers – Receiver

The management of the Buccament Bay Resort says every effort is being made to address the wages and salaries owed to workers.

This, according to Brian Glasgow, the Interim Receiver of Harlequin Properties Ltd (HPL), is the answer he was given when he enquired about the workers’ outstanding wages.{{more}}

Glasgow, in an interview with SEARCHLIGHT yesterday said although the court order appointing him Interim Receiver is in respect of HPL, not the Buccament Bay Resort, that does not stop him from asking questions about what is going to happen to the employees.

“I have asked and the information is that efforts are being made to address the outstanding payments,” he said.

Yesterday, as Interim Reciever, Glasgow put security measures in place to protect the assets of HPL, the developers/owners of the Buccament Bay Resort.

He applied and received approval from the High Court to be appointed Interim Receiver after the resort was shut last Wednesday and some looting took place, possibly compromising the assets of the company.
