Londan Ice shows versatility with ‘Christmas Morning’

Known on the local entertainment for his up-tempo renditions, Isaac “Londan Ice”, Trimmingham is showing his versatility by venturing out with a Christmas song, named “Christmas Morning”.

Commenting on his first attempt at releasing a song for the festive season, Londan Ice related: “Christmas morning was inspired by my dad (Titmus Trimmingham), who told me why not after Carnival sing a Christmas song and make it relate to our culture; so that is what I did.”{{more}}

Londan Ice noted that the lyrics of the song are a direct representation of some of the customs that take place at Christmas time in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

But he admitted that while the concept for the song is his, he got assistance with writing the final product from Darius Joseph and Geraldo Gould.

“It (the song) took actually one week to finish and another week to get the arrangement together; everything went like clock-work,” Londan Ice stated.

The music mixing and mastering of the song was done by Ulan Atwell, while Atwell and Iplank were responsible for the overall production of Christmas Morning.

Londan Ice, who reached the finals of this year’s Soca Monarch competition with his song, “Demolition”, revealed that he will continue to work hard at his craft, as he endeavours to learn and experiment more with music.(RT)
