The incident took place around 7 a.m. on Friday, October 21.

Up to press time, the wounded man was a patient at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMG), in stable condition.

When SEARCHLIGHT visited Hull, he declined to give an interview, but offered, “All I want to say is that I am thankful to be alive; that is all I want to say about that.”

Hull is the fifth Glen resident to be shot this month and the third to live to tell the tale.

At around 6:45 p.m. on Friday, October 7 in Glen, technician Mozart “Pargy” Lee, 37, was installing a speaker in a vehicle, while the vehicle’s owner looked on. A gunman opened fire on the duo, striking Mozart in the upper chest, just below his neck. During the chaos, Mozart’s girlfriend Shelly-Ann Durham, 27, was holding 10-month-old Mozari Lee, Mozart’s son. She was shot in both arms, while Mozari was also hit and later died.

Two men, Richard “Shrek” McFee and Martin “Jahson” James, have been charged in relation to this incident.

At around 2:30 a.m., on Wednesday, October 19, two gunshots rang out in the Glen/Villa area, just above the Community College. At about 6:30 the same morning, 19-year-old Kyron Sylvester was found dead in his Suzuki sidekick, with a gunshot wound to the head.

Glen has been a hotbed of criminal activity over the years. On Tuesday, September 6, at around 8.44 p.m., Sorono McKie was gunned down while driving along the Glen public road. He died on the spot.

Police are seeking the public’s help in solving these murders. There have been 26 murders this year, 23 of them gun related. (LC)
