Representatives of community groups, organizations and individuals involved in staging Christmas and Nine Mornings activities, will gather this Saturday, October 8, from 9.30 a.m. at the Peace Memorial Hall, as the SVG Nine Mornings Committee begins preparations for the 2016 festivities.{{more}}
At Saturdayâs meeting, the committee will unveil some new initiatives, designed to breathe new life and added impetus into the festival. In attendance will also be Minister of Culture Cecil Mckie, who will address the gathering.
Nine Mornings is one of the leading festivals in St Vincent and the Grenadines, with activities spread throughout the country. The celebrations will this year be launched on Sunday, December 4, with a street parade and the lighting of Heritage Square.
The theme for this year is: â2016 â The Best Everâ.
