SVGMC makes second donation to elderly

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Motorcycle Club continues to do its part in helping care for the elderly persons in our society; they made their second food basket donation on Sunday.

Benefitting from the club’s philanthropic gesture this time was Neville Ryan of Chateaubelair.{{more}}

Ryan, who celebrated his 78th birthday on September 8, is blind. He is assisted by his daughter Julie Jordan, who is also his caretaker.

One of the club’s directors, Bronson Durrant, said that the donation is the second of many the club plans to make. He noted that they are trying to make one donation every month and that the recipients will be chosen by group members.

He noted also that the donation was made possible by King’s Supermarket and Handlebar.

On August 28, the club’s members rode to the home of Kenneth (75 years old) and Josephine Loraine (72 years old) in Owia to make their first donation of food items.(LC)
