Vincy Day USA Committee honours five
Celia Bramble, Nolan Bulze, Atiba Williams, Dave Auguste and Monica Laborde have been honoured for their continued dedication and commitment to the Vincy Day USA Committee, over the last five years.
Bramble, a past president of the SVG Nurses Association, has been instrumental in organizing the triage (the medical area) and lending her services at the park on VIncy Day.{{more}}
Meanwhile, Bulze and Williams, despite not being members of the committee, have worked tirelessly whenever they were called upon. Bulze offers his technical skills and equipment, even at short notice from the committee, while Williams has performed the role of master of ceremonies at Vincy Day celebrations.
Auguste, on the other hand, is a member the New York State Parks Department and has worked with the committee to ensure the success of the event.
And, Laborde, the current president of the Massachusetts SVG organization, resides outside of Brooklyn, but assists when called upon to by the Vincy Day USA Committee.
This yearâs Vincy Day took on the format of the previous four years.
The gospel session saw performances from Garfield Bowens, Hills Family and Brother Dunn, while the cultural package included Candy Girls, and Mas Productions, in conjunction with Friends of Crown Heights, showcased the mas aspect.
Performances also came from Wayne Commissiong on steel pan, along with Patrick Junior, Hibiscus, Dennis Bowman, Naphtali, Karbon, Royal, Bomani, Winston Soso and the Band-Solid 7.0.(RT)
