Vincentians, Jamaican remanded at Dominica State Prison

Two Vincentians and a Jamaican were remanded at the Dominica State Prison after they were charged with possession of marijuana.

The men, Jeffrey Stapleton and Alwin Lawrence of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) and Ralph James from Jamaica,{{more}} were arrested after the Dominica Marine Unit intercepted an open keel boat from Antigua and Barbuda off the coast of Scotts Head last week Thursday, according to police PRO, Acting Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste.

The vessel contained 490 pounds of ganja and the men were charged for possession and possession with intent to supply an illegal drug.

They appeared in court on July 29 and they were all remanded in custody. (Dominicanewsonline)
