Insurance Institute holds seminar on motor accidents

The Insurance Institute of St Vincent and the Grenadines (TIISVG) conducted a seminar entitled ‘Motor Accident Dynamics’, the first in a series of informative and educational seminars on motor accidents.

The seminar took place from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on July 19, at the Computec conference room, and was facilitated by expert accident investigator Mervin Homer. Homer works for the Bermuda Police Force as a Traffic Collison investigator,{{more}} where he has received extraordinary qualifications and training over the years. His training included relevant courses at the Institute of Technology and Police Management at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida.

Some 30 persons attended the session, which focused on topics such as Traffic Crash, At-Scene Investigation, Vehicle Inspection and Human Factors. Homer is anticipated to do another seminar in a few months to conclude the training on motor accident dynamics and how to assess and investigate motor accidents relating to liability.
