Head teacher highlights BAPS CPEA performance
At the graduation ceremony of the Bequia Anglican Primary School (BAPS) on June 28, head teacher Madge Providence Hazell highlighted the schoolâs performance in the recent CPEA exam in the presence of staff, including a volunteer Resabel Chambers, parents and well-wishers.
She stated that from a group of 40 students, nine placed within the first 500. {{more}}These students are Roshawna Morgan, Jaynese Providence, Kaicy Ollivierre, Nefititi Nero, Brianna Peterson, Mya Williams, Taya Matthews, Jason Leslie and Jeremiah Bernard. The first three students on the list placed in the first one hundred. Roshawna, first for the school, placed 12th for females and 35th overall, making her the top performer; Jaynese placed second, 23rd for girls and 56th overall. Kaicy placed third, 42nd for girls and 89th overall.
The Dr Ray Morgan Science award went to Jaynese Providence. There was a tie in Language between Roshawna Morgan and Jaynese Providence, who both received the Marcia Quashie award, while Kaicy Ollivierre received the Lydia Ollivierre Maths award.
The pass rate this year was 78 per cent. The headteacher wished the school continued success, as she exits the profession.
