ECCB’s Small Business Management Workshop concludes
Forty persons will receive certificates for the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) one-month Small Business Management Workshop (Part I) at a Graduation Ceremony this Friday, July 15.
The recently concluded workshop was held in collaboration with the University of the West Indies and the Centre for Enterprise Development Inc (CED), as part of a regional public service programme.{{more}}
This workshop provided authoritative knowledge, practical skills and a greater understanding of how to manage the day-to-day operations of a small business. Participants were exposed to effective tools and techniques in business planning, and gained insights into how to use creative thinking to solve existing business problems and identify opportunities. They also learned how to apply effective client and customer liaison techniques and negotiation skills; and how to effectively manage the businessâ finances and practical financial processes that can enhance the daily management of small businesses.
Fridayâs graduation takes place at Frenches House at 6 p.m.
Minister of Economic Planning, Sustainable Development, Industry, Information and Labour Camillo Gonsalves will deliver the feature address. Addresses will also be made by ECCB resident representative Elritha Miguel, and general manager of the CED Felix Lewis.
After graduation, the participants are expected to continue to develop themselves in Part II of the Small Business Management Workshop, scheduled to take place in September.
