VincyKlus Inc announced recently that it will conduct a seminar in ‘Effective Production Scheduling and Costing,” scheduled for Tuesday, July 12, 2016. The seminar is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and understanding of effective planning and scheduling to reduce their overall manufacturing costs and improve productivity.{{more}}

It will be delivered by personnel from the St Vincent and the Grenadines Bureau of Standards, which has partnered with VincyKlus to bring this training. The seminar will look at Cost of Goods Analysis; Cycle Time Reduction and De-bottlenecking; Production Planning and Scheduling; and Pollution and Prevention Control.

President of VincyKlus Simeon Bacchus says this seminar is for anyone involved in manufacturing goods, and not just agro-processors. He noted that this training was highlighted by the cluster as a crucial area that needs to be addressed, based on the issues associated with such among its members.

“Over the years working with producers, I have found deficiencies in their production scheduling and found they have challenges determining what they should produce, when and how much,” Bacchus says. “This workshop plans to be an information sharing experience, as always for workshops spearheaded by VincyKlus Inc, as participants will be enlightened how to overcome some age-old challenges in producing for a market which has space for our products.”

The seminar will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the conference room of the Centre for Enterprise Development Inc (CED). Interested persons may contact the VincyKlus secretariat at 451-2235/526-1272.
