Molotov cocktail thrown into home – elderly man dies
Berkley Nanton, an 82-year-old man of Lowmans, has been recorded as this countryâs 17th homicide for 2016.
Nantonâs body was discovered at around 8:30 p.m. on June 24, with extensive burns, after his house was gutted by fire. He succumbed to his injuries on June 25, at approximately 4:40 a.m., while a patient at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH).{{more}}
The elderly man, who suffered from prostate cancer, lived with his son and grandson, but neither of them was at home when the fire started.
Police said in a release that a Molotov cocktail was used to start the fire that killed Nanton. (LC)
