FabricPlus turns one

FabricPlus SVG is now one! And in celebration of this milestone, a fashion cocktail was held last Friday, June 24 at FabricPlus in the Sprott Bros Plaza in Kingstown.

The event, which was designed to show appreciation to customers for their patronage over the past year, featured five young local designers displaying two of their latest designs made from FabricPlus material.{{more}} The designers are Kevesha Greaves, Imran Hercules of Iconic Designs, Rachel Bailey of Enve, Chenise Hendrickson of Reine Du Chic and Kimsha Williams of KMK Fashions.

The event also featured a special performance from local soca sensation Kev, who entertained the audience throughout the evening.

Delivering the feature address at the fashion cocktail was owner of FabricPlus Maefika Duncan, who explained that exactly one year ago, FabricPlus started its operations with one main goal of bringing a unique selection of fabric to Vincentians, having recognized a void in the local market for quality, affordable and easily accessible clothing material.

Duncan said over the past year FabricPlus has been focused on ensuring its line of fabrics is different and authentic, adding that FabricPlus continues to support the local creative industry through its products and partnership opportunities.

The fashion show and cocktail was attended by family, friends and partners.

The one-year anniversary activities continued all this week, with in-store activities geared at further recognizing customers and partners.

The celebrations will culminate today, Friday, July 1, with a pop-up shop, featuring designers Jeremy Payne from Fashion is Payne, IkeshArt, Rachel Bailey from Enve and Ailocious.
