Caesar chosen to represent Caribbean on Parliamentary Front Against Hunger
Minister of Agriculture Saboto Caesar has been appointed to represent the Caribbean on the Parliamentary Front Against Hunger in Latin America and the Caribbean Executive Coordinating Committee.
The Minister was elected to the position by participating members during the hosting of the fourth planning meeting of the Parliamentary Front Against Hunger (PFH).{{more}}
âThis decision by the fronts has awarded us full membership in the region. Latin America and the Caribbean is a unique and distinctive region, and the incorporation of the SVG PFH in the executive coordinating committee is milestone not only for the fronts, but also in the fight against hunger, food and nutrition insecurity and malnutrition in the Caribbean,â Caesar stated.
The meeting was held April 6-8 at the Spanish Cooperation Training Centre in Colombia, to establish the priorities of the Parliamentary Front Against Hunger in Latin America and the Caribbean for 2016.
More than 60 representatives of legislative bodies attended the meeting.
