The two were said to be in stable, but serious condition, with an unconfirmed report stating that they were expected to undergo surgery late Monday.

Vermont has become the focus of attention recently with two Vermont men being killed days apart in separate incidents.

Vermont resident Wendell ‘Bray Bray’ Ollivierre became this country’s 14th murder victim on Tuesday, May 24. He was shot at Upper New Montrose/Monkey Hill. On Wednesday, May 18, Sheldon ‘Billy’ Pollin was gunned down while standing in a shop in Diamond, which he operated with his girlfriend. His cousin Richard ‘Richie’ Barnwell was shot three times during the same incident, but survived. Both men are originally from Vermont. Pollin’s nephew was also shot a few days before.

Police are investigating all the shootings and up to press time no one was charged. (LC)
