Changhua Christian Hospital team to provide medical services to Vincentians
The team from the Changhua Christian Hospital was hosted at a luncheon at the residence of Taiwanese ambassador to St Vincent and the Grenadines Baushaun Ger last week.
The team was welcomed by both the Ambassador and the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health Luis deShong.{{more}}
The team is headed by Dr Hsiao Ling Kao and includes a general practitioner and breast surgeon, an emergency medicine doctor, a Chinese medicine doctor, a dentist and two nurses.
The teamâs activities while here will include outreach to local communities, through the provision of necessary medical services to Vincentians. Additionally, Dr Shou-Tung Chen, one of the top surgeons on breast cancer in Taiwan, will present two lectures to the medical staff at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital and other local clinics.
The MCMH and the CCH were twinned in August of 2010. Since then, the two hospitals have strengthened their cooperation and interaction continuously.
