Digicel SVG CORP refurbishes Calliaqua Anglican School

The Digicel Community Outreach Programme (CORP), which was launched on April 1, took on as its first project providing assistance for the refurbishment of the Calliaqua Anglican School.

On Saturday, April 2, the Digicel CORP, in partnership with the Parent-Teachers Association of the school and with the assistance of private contractors, worked on the refurbishment and retrofitting of the male and female bathrooms,{{more}} which included the installation of urinals and repair of the entry doors.

“Staff of Digicel came out and worked alongside the construction team, providing assistance by painting, sanding and general handiwork,” a release from Digicel said.

“This is what we do at Digicel. We are an integral part of the lives of our customers and our communities,” marketing manager Danielle Cupid commented.

“We believe that education is key, and providing or assisting in the infrastructure of delivering sound education is of extreme importance for us,” she added.

According to the release, Digicel SVG CORP will continue to seek out community based sponsorships and encourages all communities to send in their projects, whether small or large, to the Corporate Office for evaluation.
