Becket Benefit Organization to hold two events in Layou this season

The Becket Benefit Organization will hold two events this season, the first being a children’s Christmas party on the Layou Hard Court this Sunday.

The Christmas party will run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and according to the organizers, has been planned to include our children and give them a feeling of joy and love this Christmas.{{more}} There will be snacks, food and drinks for the kids, along with many little gifts.

The second activity is the second annual Boxing Day event on the Layou Hard Court on December 26.

Following on last year’s success, this year the organizers of the Boxing Day event will present the Bowman Brothers, Lime Soca Dans, Cleopatra Hendrickson, Ozarie and Alston BECKET Cyrus. Music for the event, which begins at 10 p.m., will be provided by the K-Netick Band and DJ music by Dee-Jay Stucky Esco.

Funds raised at this year’s event will go towards education.

“Please note that a NO EXIT policy will be implemented on this night. All funds will be given to children in a manner that can assist them with their education. Your kindness and contribution will be instrumental in enabling the Organization in fulfilling its promise to assist the community in health, education, sports and culture as they seek to build communities through bridging economic divides,” a release from the organizers said.
