The young students of the Kingstown Government School and the Lodge Village Primary were elated to receive the new backpacks and there were smiles all around.
Specialized Services officer from RBTT bank Ava John explained that the bank continues to play its part in supporting the development of the youth in SVG. Apart from the backpacks, the Bank has been able, through its âSoul to Soleâ programme, to provide school shoes for students in many primary and secondary schools across the island.
Both the principal of the Kingstown Government School Thedica Commissiong and representative teacher Shirla John of the Lodge Village Primary School expressed their gratitude to the bank for its kind gesture and encouraged the young students who received the backpacks to take good care of them, so that they would last a long time.
