Digicel awards winners of Back to School Essay Competition
Students and schools have been awarded for their successful participation in the Digicel Back to School Essay Competition.
The four winners each received $500, with $1,000 being donated to their schools.{{more}}
The students were required to submit an essay on the topic âHow did Digicel keep me connected this summer?â
With many essays submitted over the course of the competition, Anard Jackson, Nirella DeRoche, Jadiah Sampson and Kevisha Andrews were persons who emerged winners.
The schools which benefited from this promotion were the St Vincent Grammar School, Leeward District SDA Primary, Kingstown Preparatory School and Biabou Methodist School, respectively.
Digicel marketing executive Danielle Cupid stated: âDigicel places great emphasis on education as a core pillar to the development of productive societies and to the community on a whole. We also recognize the importance of the institutions that school our children, and this is why we decided to reward the students and their respective schools.â
Teachers, parents and students were proudly represented at each handing over ceremony, and Digicel has committed to continuous support in boosting education in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
