ATIPU, Police host workshop
A two-day anti-trafficking in persons workshop will be held this week for law enforcement officers and other stakeholders.
The workshop, which is being hosted by the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Unit (ATIPU) of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police (SVGPF),{{more}} in collaboration with the National Task Force and National Working Group against Human Trafficking, is dubbed âIntroduction to Human Traffickingâ and will take place tomorrow and Thursday at the Ministry of Telecommunications conference room on the third floor of the CLICO building.
The training is geared towards sensitizing and equipping law enforcement officers and other stakeholders, both from the public and private sector, to effectively combat human trafficking. The keynote address will be delivered by Camillo Gonsalves, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Commerce and Trade, etc. The sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily.
