Digicel continues to make impact in Carnival

Digicel SVG remains committed to the development of culture and the arts in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

As part of Digicel SVG’s effort to ensure that all nationals and visitors enjoy what has become the most highly anticipated event of the year, Digicel showed its support for several activities and events hosted during Vincy Mas 2015.{{more}}

Digicel’s RJR J’Ouvert band was awarded ‘Best J’Ouvert Band’ for their production ‘Pirates Rave’ and the Digicel Nelson Bloc was also adjudged Band of the Year champions in the highly anticipated Mardi Gras celebrations.

In addition The Network T-shirt band, also powered by Digicel, placed 2nd in the National Monday Jam competition. This is the second year that Digicel has assisted the band.

Anti-Stush, UV Vibe, Slippery When Wet and A:M Jamboree were all Digicel-sponsored events that provided both local and regional party-goers with extraordinary entertainment. Digicel Ambassador Mad Skull also placed second for Road March and third for Soca Monarch.

Danielle Cupid, marketing executive of Digicel asserts, “Digicel is very pleased to have been a part of the most extraordinary events for Vincy Mas 2015. This is our 12th year in business in St Vincent and the Grenadines, and we have been providing extensive support to St Vincent’s local artistes and bands. We are especially proud of the achievements of our long-standing partners, RJR J’Ouvert Band and Digicel’s Nelson Bloc, both of which took 1st place in their respective competitions.”
