Imperial Champions Toastmasters elects new executive

“For better listening. For better thinking. For better speaking.” With its vision established and the promise to maintain honest and highly ethical

standards, the Imperial Champions Toastmasters Club (St Vincent and the Grenadines, Club 1188167) elected its new executive to serve and lead the club forward in the new Toastmasters’ year, which commenced on July 1.{{more}}

The executive was made official in an installation ceremony held on Thursday, July, 2 and comprises of new and returning club members.

Toastmaster Yinca Goodluck replaced Toastmaster Natasha John as President. Other newly-elected executive members include: Wendie Wilson (Vice President Education); Jerand Phills (Vice President Membership); Chelcia Ferdinand (Vice President Public Relations); Natesha Alexander (Secretary); Denisha Cuffy (Treasurer) and Adrian Da Silva (Sergeant of Arms).

In her remarks, outgoing Immediate Past President Toastmaster Natasha John highlighted that she is confident in the incoming executive and looks forward to an exciting and productive Toastmasters year.

President Yinca Goodluck in her inaugural speech outlined that “Toastmasters is a place where you can become confident and persuasive in front of a group.” She further stated that the club “develops and expands leadership skills. There is humour, warmth and camaraderie at every meeting.”

The Imperial Champions Toastmasters Club meets every first and third Thursday, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Curriculum Development Unit’s Conference Room. The general public is invited to attend the sessions, which are geared towards fostering and enhancing communication and leadership skills, for the betterment of the individual.
