Courts gives helping hand to St Benedict’s Day Nursery

Staff of furniture and appliance store Courts St Vincent spent their spare time last Saturday at the St Benedict’s Day Nursery in Georgetown, painting the playground, and making a donation to the institution.

Apart from the work done on the playground, Courts also{{more}} donated two sewing machines, to be used by the staff to repair and make clothing for the children, as well as to produce items as part of the nursery’s fund-raising.

Administrator of the facility Sister NyraAnne said that the staff and children were very thankful for the assistance, and noted that the children were especially excited by the colourful facelift given to the playground.

Sister NyraAnne thanked Courts for the gesture, and expressed her hope that other organizations would do likewise and assist the nursery.

This is the second Corporate Social Responsibility project that Courts has embarked on so far for the year.

Courts made a similar trip to the Salvation Army’s children’s home in Pembroke last month.
