Local motivational speaker and ophthalmologist Dr Ken Onu will be the featured speaker at an open house event, hosted by three of this countryâs Toastmasters clubs.
The event, which takes place this Saturday, at the Cruise Ship Terminal in Kingstown beginning at 3 p.m., was organized by, and will feature members of the Achievers Toastmasters Club,{{more}} the Creative Thinkers Toastmasters Club, and members of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force Toastmasters Club.
There are seven Toastmasters clubs in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Members of the general public and other guests are invited to get an inside look at what takes place at a Toastmasters meeting, which aims to develop membersâ public speaking ability and personal confidence.
The membership drive will feature testimonials from clubs members, table topics, and a range of other activities and speakers.
Onu will be the eveningâs guest speaker, and will speak on the topic âOvercoming Adversityâ.
Onu is currently conducting a series of lectures and motivational speeches, as part of his Attract Freedom tour.
The third presentation in the series is expected to take place sometime next month.
