NLC holds annual Workers Day March and Rally

The National Labour Congress held its annual Workers Day March and Rally on Friday, May 1, which has been set aside as a public holiday.

The walk was held under the theme “Workers Safety, Guarantee Productivity, Prosperity” and took walkers from the Solidarity Car Park on Bay Street over to Cane Garden via Long Wall, then to the Sion Hill junction,{{more}} down Murrays Road, up Mc Kies Hill, through Level Garden, and back to the car park.

At the car park, walkers were refreshed, and participated in a 15-minute exercise workout. They were also addressed by representatives from the unions which comprise the National Labour Congress and the Minister with responsibility for Labour.
