NDP meeting for Sion Hill

Come May 9, the New Democratic Party (NDP) will host its first “big” political meeting for 2015.

Vynnette Frederick, public relations officer (PRO), invited all Vincentians to attend the event, which will take place at the Sion Hill intersection, starting at 7:30 p.m.{{more}}

“It’s the jump off to ushering in change in St Vincent and the Grenadines. I know that people are ready for change, ready for something better, ready for positive government, fresh ideas and you know, just a kind of energetic approach of getting things done,” Frederick said, speaking on the New Times programme on Nice Radio on Monday.

While expressing her confidence in the political party’s team of candidates for the upcoming elections, the PRO extended a special invitation to Unity Labour Party supporters who are dissatisfied with the current government and their actions after voting them into office for three consecutive terms.

Frederick said the topics of discussion at the meeting will centre on the party’s plans to move the country forward through economic growth and job creation, once they are given the chance to govern.

“We have such a varied team; skilled, capable and competent in their own right and now to think that they’re going to get the opportunity to lead St Vincent and the Grenadines and make decisions in the interest of all Vincentians regardless of politics. It’s an exciting time to be supporting the New Democratic Party and to be wanting change in St Vincent and the Grenadines,” Frederick declared.(BK)
