Students participating in the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Poster Competition are reminded that the deadline for submission of entries is Monday, May 4, 2015.
All primary and secondary school students are invited to participate in the competition, in which winners and their school stand to win US$3,000 each.{{more}}
The competition, will be conducted in two age categories. The Junior Division is for children 12 years and under (contestant may not have passed his/her 13th birthday by June 1st, 2015), while the Senior Division is for children aged 13 years to 16 years (contestant may not have passed his/her seventeenth (17) birthday by June 1st, 2015).
The FCCA will award the student placing first in each category US$3,000, with US$1,500 and US$1,000 being awarded to the 2nd and 3rd placed students respectively. The schools the students represent will also be awarded the same monetary prizes as the students.
Each student must submit one poster and select a topic of their choice that promotes environmental awareness. The poster must depict at least three ways in which our destination can make a difference in preserving the environment.
Words may be used to highlight the ideas illustrated on the poster. The theme for the 2015 competition is: My Caribbean, Your Caribbean, to Protect and Preserve.
One poster will be selected from each category to represent St Vincent and the Grenadines.
