Before her arrest, Bibby-Bowens taught information technology and accounting at the Bishop’s College Kingstown.

One of the teacher’s lawyers, Kay Bacchus-Browne, confirmed on Wednesday that Bibby-Bowens was back on the job.

“She is back on full pay and everything, but we are still going to meet to discuss matters,” Bacchus-Browne said.

Bibby-Bowens was arrested and charged on March 2 with two counts of obscene publication for posts she allegedly made on Facebook on Tuesday, February 17, 2015.

Director of Public Prosecutions Colin Williams discontinued the matter on April 16, one day before Bibby-Bowens was scheduled to reappear in court.

After Bibby-Bowens was charged, on March 5, she was suspended from her job, on half salary, by the Public Service Commission.

Following the discontinuation of the charges, Bacchus-Browne told SEARCHLIGHT on April 20 that her client’s team of lawyers will meet later this week to discuss, among other things, the way forward and reinstatement.

Attorneys Nicole Sylvester and Dr Linton Lewis also represent Bibby-Bowens. (KW)
