Bequia to stage IWD activies from 2 p.m. on Sunday

Activities to commemorate International Women’s Day in Bequia, organised by the Bequia Bookshop will be held at the Fig Tree Restaurant starting from 2 p.m. on Sunday March 8, 2015.{{more}}

There will be speakers from the Gender Affairs Division from St Vincent and others from Canada and Bequia.

“As has become the tradition, everyone is asked to bring a dish and anyone can come prepared to sing, read or recite a poem. Women are all invited and we extend a special invitation to men,” a release from the organizers said.

Admission to the event is free, so the public is invited to attend and share as the advancement and achievement of women is celebrated.
